Les Weisbrod elected to the Executive Committee of the ATLA

Les Weisbrod, managing partner of Miller Weisbrod Olesky, LLP, a Texas law firm that specializes in medical malpractice litigation, has been elected to the Executive Committee of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA) by the Board of Governors at the ATLA 2001 Annual Convention in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Established in 1946, ATLA is the world's largest trial bar with 60,000 members in the U.S., Canada and abroad. ATLA was founded to safeguard victims' rights, strengthen America's civil justice system, promote injury prevention, and foster the disclosure of information crucial to public health and safety. The seventeen-member Executive Committee oversees the management of ATLA and is a group elected from the Board of Governors, the overall governing body of the ATLA. ATLA Governors represent each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Province of British Columbia, the Province of Alberta, the combined Eastern Five Provinces, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland and Australia.
